How long did your baby like a crib mobile?

We have been co-sleeping since day one, but I'm really starting to think DD will sleep better without me next to her. She sleeps soundly until I get into bed then she tosses all night. We co-slept with DD1 until 18 mo., and loved it, so I'm not anti-co-sleeping, just trying to figure this baby out. Anyway, she seems like she would like to look at something while falling asleep so I thought a mobile would be good. She's just about to turn 4 mo. though and I just wonder how long she'll be interested in it. Also, if your babe used/uses one, which one do you like?

We moved the kids to the crib at 6 months and 4 months. It just worked better for us. That being said, they never were comforted by a mobile. But, my son did have this projection thing that had music and projected a slow moving scene on the ceiling. He did seem to like that.

My baby is not yet sleeping in her crib, but she plays in it and for her, the mobile is stimulating, not a sleep aid. DD1 was the same way. I never have been good at the "put them down awake but sleepy" thing. They always fall asleep on or near me.

My first son loved his mobile long after he should have. LOL. I think he was around 2 when we took it down.
