Dancing Bears sizing

I was all set to order a med. for my 16 lb six month old when I read on Happy Baby Co. that a three year old wore a small. Should I size down? I do want it to fit now but I also want it to keep on fitting!

I would get a medium... especially if you plan on using it at night. A small would probably fit but not for as long.

I know they stress how big the sizes run, but they must have skinny kids, too. My 25 pound 9.5 month-old is about to outgrow his medium... trying to decide if I want to get a large or move on to something else.
