Hi,
I need to get my 3 year old a bunch of new clothes and winter ware, but I don't want to spend too much. Can anyone recommend nice consignment/thrift stores specializing in kids' clothes in either the Salem or Cambridge/Somerville areas?

Thanks!

I love the Little Fox Shop in the Fox branch library in Arlington. It's all donations (as opposed to consignment) and the proceeds benefit the library.

Just Kidding in Beverly. The Children's Drop & Shop event is next weekend in Essex at Woodman's. If you haven't been before, it is fabulous! http://www.childrensdropandshop.com/

The last time I went, I spent ~$130 and got 20 tops, 15 dresses, 8 pairs of shorts, 4 pairs of capris, 3 pairs of shoes, toys, books, movies, camping supplies.

I love consignment! I do most of my own shopping in consignment shops, and I hope to do the same when my little one arrives.  Does anyone know of consignment shops that carry maternity clothing in the Cambridge area?

I've always liked the mother of twins sales.  Now I have twins and sell at them!  The prices are usually better than consignment stores.  $1-3 for shirts and pants, tons of toys and gear, winter coats and snow pants $10-25, etc.  I got my girls hanna andersson snowsuits for $15 each, columbia snow boots for $5 each and hats, mitten for $1 a pair. I'm going to the 4/2 sale just for keen sandels and swim trunks.  I know it will be worth it.

I'm sure there are more clubs but this is what I found with a quick google search.
