I want to make a rice salad with brown rice dressed with a prepared Lime basil vinaigrette that I bought. The dressing is kind of sweet. What other ingredients would you mix in with the rice? I would be grateful for input.

Are you serving it cold?
If you are I would suggest adding:
small diced tomato
kalamata olives
garlic
sea salt
julianned red onions (or maybe not if you dont like raw onions)(you could sub red bell pepper for color)
if you are going somewhere fancy I would garnish it with two slices of lime (twisted) and a little paprika

I would add diced red (or other colored) pepper, seeded & diced cucumber, diced red onion. Possibly grated carrot. Dash of extra oil is a good idea (as is the lime wedge/paprika garnish). Jicama would be awesome with the lime. If you wanted to go with it being sweet - you could add mango in with the veggies too (mango & jicama are a really good combo together, btw).
I thought I wanted to play up the sweetness. I am having a party.Already serving tossed salad, coleslaw,Potato salad with carrots ,green peppers and olives in it, eggplant parmesan sp?,pasta salad with peppers ,tomato and onion, Veggie burgers.Dh will cook hamburgers and hotdogs for carnivores-not my idea!Veggies and dip and chips and dip before ,birthday cake after.I want to have some different foods but don't know what. I'm usually so crazy and tired from cleaning the house that the food is just something I rush through and not very innovative. It stinks when everybody raves about the eggplant which I order from an Italian restaurant and all my stuff is boring.Any more suggestions for other foods?

If you want to play up the sweetness, I switch my suggestion to red peppers instead of green. The green would have been to balance out the sweetness from the vinaigrette, but to play it up red is the way to go.
I would also then suggest nasturtiums. If you are not familiar with the, they are an orange edible flower. They have a sweet slightly tangy flavor. They can often be found in the produce aisle next to the fresh herbs.
