Wearing two??

I have a 13 mo and Im expecting my second child in december. DS will be 17 months by the time DD gets here.
We don't own a car and buses won't let you take a stroller on board (unless it's a folded umbrella stroller). So far, I've been wearing DS everywhere. Now im not sure what to do when DD comes... It's going to be the middle of winter, so I'll assume we won't be going out too too much, but still, i need to get out or i'll get really bad cabin fever. I guess I could wear DD and have DS in a stroller, but im not sure he'd be able to manage the 3 tall steps to get on the bus without me lifting him up. So, short of having a third arm implanted, any suggestion?
Is there a way to wear a toddler and a newborn at once? I have an ergo, two moby's and a pouch. I currently wear DS on my back with the ergo. I think i would have the physical strength to do it, I just don't know how to set it up. (Oh yeah, and DH works 18 hour days, 7 days a week. He's not going to be much help with carrying the kids)

Sure, you can wear both of them! First wrap your newborn on with the moby, and then put your toddler up on your back in the ergo. There is a forum on thebabywearer that is just about wearing more than one.

Here's a video of two kids in one woven wrap- there are other videos out there, too. http://babywearingvideos.com/videos/...ss-varry-combo

Also, could you put the baby in the moby and the ergo on your back? I'm having trouble envisioning getting the ergo on, but I'd think it would work.

I think thebabywearer.com might have a whole forum or thread or something dedicated to it, actually.

I'm also thinking (though again having trouble picturing it) that you could maybe put baby in an SSC on the front that has straps that can cross in the back, and then the bigger kid in the ergo on your back?

ABO Mama- we cross posted!
