I have two 6 qt crockpots that I've had for over 10 years. When I made my last double crock of stock one of them clearly wasn't getting as hot. Then today I started some beans in one of the crockpots, they were room temp because I soaked them overnight. It's not gotten above 190 even though it's on high. I can't seem to get these crock pots to simmering temp even anymore. I took the hot pot out and put it in the other base and let it run for at least 30 minutes and they are still not simmering temp.
I'm not sure why all of sudden there is the problem but my husband thinks the thermostats may be not working right.
Anyone had this problem? I think I may need new ones.
ok I tested them some more. The one seems to be fine the other one is definitely low on temp.
