I always for a dollar a tooth too, and I'm 34.

I like the gold dollar idea! I'll have to remember that in a couple when dd starts losing teeth.

I am glad I read this in advance of DD1 (5.5) losing her teeth. I can totally see me getting caught off guard and having to raid her piggy bank to come up with the $. Must plan ahead!

My mom told us, when we asked her for stuff, that only the tooth fairy gave out that stuff. Though, too late for that.

I'm 33 and I got a dollar, but no way am I giving two dollars, LOL!

They get excited b/c of the whole magic aspect of the fairy, more than anything.
But he knows it's his mom. Just give him the money, I say.

I got $5 a tooth...only because my mom felt bad for me since NONE of my teeth fell out on their own and had to be pulled 4 at a time. So yea...I'd get $20 each time! Still not worth it though...
