does any one know if there is anything to consider to having this screening done while pregnant? work is asking me to do it (i'm 12 weeks) but i could postpone until after baby is born.

I have refused tHIS at work for the past 2 years because I'm breastfeeding.

There is plenty of reason to avoid this test while pregnant (actaully plenty of reason to avoid it even when not IMO)

It is an injected substance, it contains phenol (a derivative of coal tar) and polysorbate 80. I posted about this specifically in another thread...Ill see if I can find it and link to that thread.

Very nearly the whole of organic chemistry rests on petroleum. Would you find this point less salient if phenol were industrially extracted from willow bark?

I was supposed to get it done for work while I was pregnant, but I didn't see the need and my MW wrote me a note to postpone it. My job was fine with the note, I wouldn't bother with it if I were you.

Since this is about TB testing rather than vaccines I'm moving to H&H.
