I think we've found a situation that will work with another homeschooling family. I've convinced my daughter that school would not be what she thinks it is. She wants to be challenged and she also wants to do things her own way and I don't see her getting either of those things in our local public schools.
Plus, she does advanced level work for her age when she's with me but she totally freezes and in some cases cannot speak around adults she doesn't know so I can see her being placed in the "regular" class instead of the more advanced gifted classes I know she would need to thrive.
