iQ Academy is a virtual school that I'm currently enrolling my 12 year old son into. This probably belongs in the virtual schools thread, but I wanted to see if I could get more views and a possible response. Soooo, does anyone here have any experience with this particular program? I would love to hear about it!

iQ Academy - anybody?

IQ academy is run by the same people who run the charter school my children are at. The opinion of that is still out. So far, my children love it, but I don't think they are learning much. But my children are not with the IQ academy, but rather with the brick and mortar school, my high schoolers that is. I homeschool my younger children.

I used to teach for one of their schools. No complaints about the company by any means. As a homeschooling mama, there are a few things that I would have trouble with (my kids are young and have never been enrolled by IQ so take it with a grain of salt):
1. There seemed to be a lot of busy work.
2. It seemed to take much more time than many homeschooling families actually spend on school and very few students taking a fulltime online load seem to be able to successfully pass the courses (at any virtual school, not just IQ)
3. In general, I just have a hard time handing even part of my child's education over to someone else.
4. I had 350 students one semester and 7 subjects that I was teaching.
