I've been busy!

We put a bit of extra money in our food budget this month to buy some food to preserve.

In the last few days I have:

-made a batch of Sauerkraut
-batch of raspberry jam
-batch of strawberry jam
-bought peaches to make peach jam

I still have to buy and make some Kim Chee and buy tomatoes and can some tomato sauce/stewed tomatoes.

It's making me very happy to have bottles of jam

Hooray for canning! I'm making grape jelly, Spirited Peaches, peach jam and something with my bounty of cucumbers I got from my neighbour

You're in a good location for getting the produce too - not too far to the fruit in Niagara!

Today I did

-roasted tomatillos and made a batch of enchalada sauce to freeze
-tomato sauce to freeze
-And dehydrated kale chips(which didnt make it past noon before the kids ate them)

All from the garden

I love this time of year
