Yet another unschooling article in MSM

Toronto's Globe and Mail published this article on unschooling. Overall I think they did a pretty good job. The comments that "unschooled kids tend to have difficulty socializing in large groups" was bullsh*t, IMHO. And that unschooled kids tend to "miss the basics". These were just one person's opinion but were presented as fact.

Other than that minor complaint, I think they did a fairly good job.

That was interesting and informative. Thanks for posting!

That's funny, because my unschooled kids are very social. My dd is shy, but so is my mom and because of that school was misery for her.

My 3yr recently showed my sil a toy snake and told her, "be careful, he's very venomous"! She could not get over a 3yr old using the word venomous, lol!
My kids vocabularies have shut everyone I know up about what they are or are not learning. A 12yr old public schooled cousin recently declared tha my 6yr old was smarter than her when said 6yr old asked that her apple be wedged please. Too funny.
