crying almost all night long

My almost-11 month old has been crying many times throughout the night for the last few weeks. What she does is nurse, pop off the boob, then about 10 seconds later cries for the boob again. This happens over and over again throughout the night. I want to mention that she is not typically a sleep-while-nursing baby. I felt like after she popped off the boob she couldn't immediately get comfortable and ended up waking back up, so she needed to nurse again to put her back to sleep. This happens up until about 6AM, at which time she finally falls into a good sleep cycle until 7:30ish, then she wakes up.

Last night we decided to give her more room so DH slept on the floor to see if that would help her get more comfortable. It doesn't. She thrashes all over the place, sometimes arches her back. I wonder now if she isn't in some kind of pain.

We've been introducing solids and she eats quite a bit. No noticeable allergic reactions.

Her brain is probably on overdrive...she's been trying to walk.

Oh, also, she's never been a good sleeper. Recently has been worse than normal.

Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

We sleep with a restless babe as well, not so fun.

Anyway, I know with our DD her sleep gets much worse when she is teething. She has recently started getting her molars in and we have been having a grand old time at night. We tried giving her Tylenol and it really seemed to help.

Good luck, I hope you can figure out what's causing her sleeplessness.

Restless baby here, too. Not every night, but enough nights to drive mama partially insane. Honestly, if she'd just dig her heels in my back, pull my hair and push me to the edge of the bed and then stop moving, I wouldn't complain. It's the dang FIDGETING that pushes me over the edge!

So no advice, just commiseration.

Have you had her ears checked. Sometimes the only symptom of an ear infection is extra fussiness when laying down.
