Progesterone suppositories?

I am 6 weeks pregnant (I hope). I had some bleeding and my doctor put me on progesterone suppositories without checking my actual progesterone level. She said that because my last doc put me on them (for bleeding/low progesterone with my last pregnancy) then she would do the same. In hindsight I should have pushed her to test it but it's done now. She did an internal and said my cervix was closed and the bleeding was not from my uterus (but from kind of abrasions outside my cervix which she said is a normal thing in early pregnancy).

My beta was normal and doubled in 28 hours which is good.

Anyway I have two questions.

1 - I am very dizzy. Not always. Just when I stand up (I have to grab onto something when I stand. Then I feel fine). Is this from the progesterone do you think?

2 - The bleeding as stopped. Is this a good sign or do the suppositories stop the bleeding whether or not the pregnancy is viable?

I have an u/s this week but was wondering if anyone could answer my questions in the meantime. Thanks!

Ugh. I had to do prog. supps. with this pregnancy and it made me very sick and dizzy for 6 weeks. But here I am 36 weeks! So it's normal in my experience. But I'm not sure about the bleeding as I never had that just low numbers. I would htink it was a good sign. Sticky vibes to you mama!

This is totally normal in any pregnancy, with or without progesterone. Many women think progesterone can amplify the pregnancy symptoms, but in order to do that you must be having those symptoms to begin with!

Do you by chance have lower blood pressure? Mine usually hovered around 90/50 in the first tri and man my dizziness was incredible!

I do have low BP! I need to check it again. But typically it's on the low side of normal. That could be it. Thanks!

I take the progesterone at night to cut down on side effects and it has helped a lot.
