Anyone know where I can get a princess waldorf doll for my dd by December for her 3rd birthday? She saw one that she really liked on someones etsy that is on here but I can't remember who's it was. Anyone know of where I can get a princess or fairy princess doll for her? She loves fairies and princesses.

Thanks!

KJoslyn, why do you not recommend Dancing Rain Dolls? I bought a kit from her last year and made a lovely doll for my daughter with it.

If you are interested in a really beautiful custom doll, I think Bamboletta dolls are TDF!

i don't want to seem like I am being a negative nancy, but I had the WORST experience with my Dancing Rain Doll kit that I will never buy anything from her. She does't respond to emails, phone calls, sends wrong things. I ordered something from her and tried to make sure the hair colour was the right one, no answers, she sent the wrong colour, i tired to tell her, no reply. The pattern is very awkward to work(head and body all in one piece). I am very disappointed in my daughters doll.

TulsiLeaf, I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience. It's also a bummer she is not selling kits anymore! My kit had the head and body pieces separate but we may have purchased different things. I guess it doesn't matter since she is no longer selling those kits! Anyways sorry to bump such an old thread, I forgot I was browsing through the archives

Her reputation in the last year has nose dived from excellent to non-existent. I am truly saddened by this, as when i first started ordering from her, I couldn't shout loud enough how wonderful she was... the numerous emails and IM sessions in helping me to make my first doll, and sending me yarn when the color was incorrect.

But my own recent experiences with her proved more then just what i was reading here. I tried ordering from her last fall (i wanted to order mohair to fill in my daughter's doll wig), and looked again in May to try and finally do it for her birthday. But, you can read a lot more about her business here on MDC in the Arts & Crafts (Toys and Dolls) section: http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=1160795
