Chart Help?

My cycles are getting funkier and funkier as time goes on. Anyway, I have a question about ovulation. From everything I've read, the only real way to tell if you've ovulated is by a sustained thermal shift. Is that right?

Last month, and this month, I spot mid-cycle. This time I had EWCM with spotting for two days. I had twinges/cramping. I thought for sure I had ovulated! But my temp hasn't risen at all. What gives? Why would I spot? I thought spotting was a good indication of a good egg release, and a good chance at pregnancy...but now I am not so sure.

Anyway, just wondering what you guys think. If I end up with another 45+ day cycle, I'm thinking it might be time to get checked out...

Thanks for looking

Yes temp shift is the only way to confirm ovulation.

Have you been checked for thyroid issues ? Your temps seem pretty low.

Your cycle for july 16th were you pregnant that cycle ? by just counting that showed 26dpo. If you weren't pregnant that cycle i'd say that chart was wrong and was annovulatory.

Absolutely agree with the other two ladies. Your previous chart looks either pregnant or annovulatory. I didn't think a 28 day long luteal phase was even possible, without a pregnancy. Your temps definitely do seem low overall. Very intriguing!

Thank you for the replies, ladies!

I took three pregnancy tests last month and all were negative. My guess, is that I just didn't ovulate. Not sure why the cycle was so long. But my cycles are getting stranger every month, it seems. Lasting longer, etc.

I had blood work drawn about a month ago, all looked great. They didn't check hormone levels though. But thyroid, and everything else looked really good. Could it be something up with my hormones?

I am wondering if I even ovulate at all anymore?

I am 25, and had no problems what-so-ever getting pregnant before. I've been pregnant 4 times, and had two miscarriages in between my two children. I'm really not quite sure what to make of it all! I don't know if it is something I should be concerned about...I mean, is it abnormal? And...I am not sure about the whole EWCM + spotting thing either that I've been getting mid-cycle.

I'm gonna see how this cycle goes. Maybe I should see an OB? Was really hoping to not have to go that route, ya know? But we would sure like to add to our family...

I would make a appointment with the OB, especially with the long and annovulatory cycles.
