Favorite pants pattern?

So I've used several different pants pattern (typical store bought ones) Mostly because they come with different shirt patterns, not because I compulsively buy pants patterns in hopes of finding "the one"

Anyway, they all pretty much suck. The legs are so wide they're practically clown pants, and it always seems like there's just not quite enough room in the bum to truly fit comfortably. I just want a nice fitted-but-not-painted-on pants pattern! One I can use for knits as well as woven fabrics. There's one printable pattern for pajama bottoms I found that is GREAT for ds, it has a half moon insert in the bum for a big cloth booty, but I'm not quite as thrilled with it for dd because it needs tinkering with to fit her (it was made to be infant-toddler pj bottoms, so they're snug) I've tried ripping open the seams of a worn out pair with a good fit to trace, but I'm really not satisfied with that. And I definitely have no interest in making my own pattern.. yikes!

Anyone know of a pattern out there with a perfect fit? Maybe on etsy or something?

idk-- I had that problem when my dc were small-- no CD room! I did make a good set of patterns out of yucky-looking-good-fitting pants, mostly from the thrift store.

If you get nowhere on here, PM me and send me the pants-- I'll make you a pattern

HTH

btw-- what didn't work for you w the pattern you made from cutting seams on the worn pants? Just curious...

Hmm.. I guess I didn't actually make a pattern from the pants, but used the pants as the pattern! It was awkward to trace something that had stretch to it. Then figuring out how to add in the seam allowance, and the first time I didn't add enough to the rise for the waist band and her butt crack shows, and the second time I forgot to stretch out the waist band as I traced and made the hips too narrow! Doh! I guess what I REALLY dislike the most (if I got past the stupid user errors) is it has to be remade for every size. I like sewing for friends just because, for baby gifts, and to use as wahm barter. So I'm really hoping to find a perfect pattern that I can use for all sizes, with some general consistency

I just bought these http://www.youcanmakethis.com/info/f...-Pant-2-6T.htm ..not sure how I feel about it yet, I started last night but stopped because I need more elastic. We'll see after dd tries them on. Its marketed as girls pants but I really don't see anything about it that couldn't be for a boy. What I mostly dislike is the wide legs on nearly every pants pattern I find! I like a more fitted look.
