Pediatric DT in Canada?

I have 2.5 year old that has received one dose of Pentacel at 2.5 months. He did not have a good reaction to it, although compared to some it was not "severe".

I am fairly certain that after my constant research, I feel he will need the tetanus vax. (I can into reasons if necessary)
I don't want the combo obviously.

I see that the DT is approved for under 7.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with giving it to their child? What age? Reactions? Difficulty getting the dr to administer it vs the combo shot? How does it factor into the "series" - how many more until "complete"?

you will need 3 or 4 more Dts for a complete series (4 or 5 doses total but you had one already), if the 4th dose is given after the age of 4, then you will not need a 5th dose.
