If this is true, where's the national prevention campaign like we have for car seats, "safe sleep" and SIDS prevention?

I just want to point out that the rates only look at the neonatal period (ie the first 4 weeks of life) so it does not look at rates for SIDS or car accidents for the first year of life, just the first 4 weeks. It still is a really high number of preventable deaths from circumcision.

Since this news article is from May, it has been posted and discussed before. However, I had a chance to read the actual "study" today. Unfortunately, I am unimpressed with the "common-sense calculations" used to arrive at this estimate. I wish they could have used real numbers, like the Gairdner (1949) study that they quoted.
