Not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this... but I'm a little puzzled.
Baby-DS is 11.5 weeks. I am nursing exclusively, I haven't even pumped and given him a bottle. So far he has only eaten at the breast. He has been doing some longer stretches at night, up to 8 hours w/o nursing.
About three weeks ago I had some minimal spotting, mostly dark to light pink tinged CM. Today I am having a crazy amount of egg white quality light red to pink hued CM. Could it be the return of my cycle (ovulation) or is it just some weird hormonal quirk due to breastfeeding?
I'm okay if my cycle returns, not thrilled about the return of AF, but at least I'll be able to to keep track of the not fertile days.
With my DD my cycle didn't return until she was over 4 months old, so this would be earlier. However, with DD I was on the mini-pill with breastfeeding, and this time DH & I are just using a barrier method, so no extra hormones.
Any thoughts? TIA!
