Would you feel comfortable with any of these choices? - Page 4

A) probably, DS had sweet potato casserole around that age and I am sure it had brown sugar and cinnamon in it, though we did avoid the marshmallows. He loved it! but then, he doesn't get that every day, even now at 10 months he isn't eating "food" everyday.

B) We don't vax, so I wouldn't. However most of my mama-friends have their kids vaxed on schedule. I know even if we *did* we wouldn't be doing the flu vax.

C) yeah, totally, but in an Ergo, not a sling, because I don't have a sling and I my Ergo.

as far as the OP: with no monitor, I wouldn't leave a 6 month old in the house by himself. I might, if he were sleeping, find a safe place for him to rest outside (blanket, pack-n-play) if mom wasn't comfortable wearing him, to make monitoring him easier.

BTW, not trying to start a fight or anything so keep it friendly, please. Just curious if I am in the minority or majority on these issues.
I wouldn't really do A just because of the sugar, 6 months is awfully young. I'd let an older baby have tastes. But really when I make homemade applesauce I just leave some without sugar/cinnamon for the baby.

We vax, so I do B.

I can't imagine why to not do C. Would it be because it would be too hot? I'd stand back enough so that I knew the baby wasn't getting overheated.

A & C.

Dd is 5 months old and has been eating bits of solid stuff since 4 months.

She just in the past few days has started actually *eating* little amoutns fo stuff off a spoon, and screaming if you don't feed her fast enough. before that, she just wanted to try whatever she saw us eating, which is fine with me.

I make my own baby food, but I just do it but mashing/pureeing whatever everyone else is eating, whether it's fried chicken or organic pasta or whatever (we don't eat much fried chicken, but jsut as an example.) so all her food is seasoned just like ours. Therefore it wouldn't even cross my mind about the sugar in the applesacue. If it's not ok to eat, it wouldn't be in the house anyway.

A I wouldn't make it both cause I'm to lazy and I wouldn't add the extra ingredients if I did...I wouldn't be totally against feeding some depending on the situation it was presented.

b) no I do vaccinate but I wont do a flu shot for a 6 month old (I refused it just today for my 6 month old) IF and when we do add it in I wont add to a shot schedule.. She recieved 4 today 1 oral 3 physical no way I'm adding to that..

c) sure why not?

Nope. Baby's don't need refined sugar. If there isn't any other solid food to offer, I have booby still. My own kids would barely be tasting solids at this point anyway so I'd just nurse.
B) Have baby vaccinated 5x in one WBV (4 according to schedule + flu vax)
Absolutely not. I might do one at a time if I felt the need.
C) Attend a bonfire with baby in a sling
Sure, if I was able to stay out of the smoke.
