I'm planning what foods I have on hand during labor and one of the ideas that came to mind was a nice cheese tray with crackers and fruit... I'm thinking of something a little nicer than a standard cheddar, colby jack tray. Of course I'm not looking for crazy exotic and expensive either.
I don't know much about cheeses, and on top of that I don't know if I should still be careful of certain cheeses because of listeria. Seems like during early postpartum my immune system will still be a little down, right?
I always like Meunster with crackers, and fresh mozzarella. I'm thinking apples and pears for the fruit tray. Any other ideas?
