I would probably go get checked too... especially if they aren't going away with rest or hydration

I did a bit of baby shopping the past couple days, which was quite fun! I got some NB longies (LOVE having a fall/winter baby this time around!!) as well as some longies for the big boys. Also bought some other not so interesting things like flats and binkies

I'm even still getting nauseas from eating. I thought it was just a morning thing, but its been all day. Haven't really eaten anything but a banana that hasn't upset my tummy.

I'm the same way - I have to eat very tiny amounts of very mild, low fat foods or else I get very nauseas. I actually threw up part of my dinner two nights ago. So I'm sticking with fruit, toast, etc for now.

I'm pretty crampy down low and have been since yesterday. There is no pattern to it and it comes and goes so I'm not getting checked for now - esp since I wasn't dilating a few weeks ago when this was happening.

I quit my job on Wednesday which has been exciting and scary. It was very demanding and I honestly wasn't getting paid what my work product was worth (and they were well aware) ... but now we are just on dh's income which scares me. My job wasn't just a little bit of $$, so it's going to be a big change. But we are working on our business, me nearly 24/7 now with renewed motivation, so if I can just replace my income with that, we'll be fine. Nothing like a little stress right at the end of pregnancy...

I had this the other day. It felt like morning sickness all over again. Poor DH had to come home from work 3 hours early b/c I just could not handle DD and feeling on the verge of puking.

Had a midwife appt today and the little man is head down He's even a little bit descended in my pelvis which is great as DD was free floating right until I went into labour. It explains the new crampy feelings I've been having and the need to poop several times a day too (sorry, should have warned TMI in advance). But seriously, does anyone else poo more than 3 or 4 times a day?! It's ridiculous! Sometimes I poo like 5 or 6 times a day....

He's posterior at the moment though which isn't so great, so I'll keep an eye on my posture and try and get him to move.

Yay for baby being head down! My guy is firmly head down, too. The NP didn't mention if he's anterior or posterior, but I'll ask my OB next week.

I'm 37 weeks today! I guess in theory I could have a baby at any time, but i'm sure I've got another 4 weeks to go
post #48 of 85
Monday makes 36 weeks!!! I need to make it one more week so that my MW/OB don't have to invite NICU to the delivery (twins). (They dont want to but hosp makes them) We have crossed the point where my OB can catch the babies in the room and not the OR

I have been hanging in there. I do feel huge but I dont feel as bad as I thought I would at this point with two babies. At my last growth scan they were 5 1/2 lbs each so Im assuming they are both closing in on 6 lbs!!!! Still little ones, but for twins I am really feeling proud that we are getting to this point.

I have been having to get up and pee alot at night and some nights I get contractions from 1a-3a. I havent had an internal yet so Im not sure if they are doing anything. My MW mentioned doing one if I want this week. Im torn bc on one end it would be nice to know, on the other hand I feel like Im doign something and if she checks and says Im closed, I may cry.

I probably only have 2 more weeks of this pregnancy left to go. My OB is more than willing to let twins go to 40 weeks, however, my BP has been climbing and he has hinted at an induction. (im doing parallel care) He is a wait and see type person and so nothing is set in stone. It is crazy that I will likely be holding two sweet babies in the next 1-2 weeks!!!

I'm glad things are going good for you, mauri!

Is anyone else absurdly sweaty? It's driving me crazy! I'm cranking the a/c and freezing everyone out and still pouring, uggh! My temp is normal, but I feel so horribly hot and sweaty, uggh.

Oh, and now I've got some unexpected chicks to care for One of my hens ran off and we didn't see her for a few weeks, so we assumed she got eaten by a predator or something. Until yesterday afternoon when my neighbor knocks on my door and says "do you know you've got chicks hatching in my yard?" OMG! Stupid little thing was hiding in his overgrown woodpile hatching babies! So I've got 6 so far and she's sitting another 6, two of which are starting to hatch. Yeesh. NOT what I wanted to be dealing with the last few weeks of pregnancy. I'm hoping I can find someone to take them, because I absolutely do not have room for anymore chickens, so if I can't find them a home, they're going to get butchered for meat in a few months :/ They are darn cute, though.

Glad you're keeping well Mauri. So good to hear from you.

CB - It's just gone spring here but still chilly (think one extra layer of clothing chilly. Not freezing or anything), but I've been getting hot flush type episodes. And I'm not an overly sweaty person so it's quite gross. I sweated bucket loads after DD was born which was even grosser.
Awww cute little chickies!!!! But yep, a hassle too. Hope you can find a home for them easily.

Had my weekly appt Friday. Did let the OB check me which caused him quite the tizzy. Baby is so far up he couldn't feel his head and I think he was expecting to so then he 'worried' that he wasn't head down but tranverse.

Good Lord, even *I* can tell by palpating my belly that he is head down with butt up and that there is no freaking room at all for him to be transverse. He moved me to another room and did a one minute u/s just to be sure. He said this means I'm "not favorable for induction" - well good b/c I don't WANT to be induced. My BP is being regulated by the meds and being off work and all my NSTs have been good so I'm just to keep going in weekly. PBTG!

Now I just need to go into labor on my own within the next two weeks so I don't have to fight induction...
mcimom, I'm glad the meds and rest are helping to keep your bp down! I hope it stays down so you don't have to worry about induction.

Oh, I finished my birth plan, my doula loved it and said it was the best birth plan she's read Now I need to work on a list of what to bring to the hospital for dh so he can pack when I go into labor.

Oh my goodness. These contractions almost hurt. "Hurt" isn't quite it. Pretty intense though. Been having contractions for quite a while not, but now they are wrapping around into my back. Guess we will see what happens. I am due the 7th or so. Maybe she will come sooner rather than later.

Hi Ladies,

I just wanted to check back in and give you an update. Fortunately, I did not have to be induced on Friday but if I haven't gone into labor on my own by 2 weeks from today I will be induced. Although the baby has grown her growth rate has slowed more since my ultrasound 2 weeks ago. My midwife and OB are really trying to help me have the natural birth that I want but it's all up to baby now.

I've been feeling what feel like contractions (sharp cramps) since Thursday but as this is my first I'm not sure if they are considered big or small. I keep hoping they will suddenly get really long and painful as crazy as it sounds so I won't have to be induced.

Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I go into labor this week (or next week at the latest).

On the positive side... I'm full term (37 weeks) as of today!

I have been having the weirdest sensation lately. I don't really think I get many contractions during the day, but every single time I wake up to pee at night my stomach is hard and kind of clenched around the outline of the baby, so maybe I'm having them while I sleep? And I always wake up in the morning with this weird feeling in my pelvic region that maybe my legs are further apart or something and the muscles on my inner thighs right where they join my body are sore. It makes me hobble around for a good 5-10 minutes before I can walk normally for the day. I have no idea what is going on down there!!

Thanks corban's mum and CherryBomb!

kallyn - my contractions are primarily in the middle of the night too.. I was wondering why as well..
