It's been three years - help!

Hi all, my first baby was born three years ago, and stopped using diapers a year ago. We successfully used prefolds/PUL covers during the day and a BG pocket (not sure what model it was - they had velcro closure and snap adjustment) overnight. My BGs saw heavy use and I will probably have to get a few more. I still have all my prefolds, but I need cover info, since I traded up in size with my DD. We have a few (10?) newborn prefolds and about 20 small prefolds, both Thirsties brand (bought them right before they were discontinued). My first baby was a little over 7 lbs and literally only fit in the newborns for like a week before moving to small. I liked Thirsties covers mainly, I had a few wool and fleece covers if she got a little rash.

My problem - I don't remember what size Thirsties cover we bought initially. The Thirsties sizing chart says 6-12 lbs for the x-small and 12-18 lbs for the small. Did I really buy x-small covers at first? What size of Thirsties cover fits most newborns, and for how long?

Sizing

I find Thirsties sizing pretty accurate. We have some extra small covers and they fit until 12 or 13 pounds. DS is lean though. We got a legitimate amount of use out of them.... maybe four months. I think we got more time out of them than average though.

I think you could probably start using the thirsties small around 10 pounds if your baby was the right shape.

There's really no good answer for newborns. Sometimes you get lucky and a baby gets five months out of newborn size. I one loaned my newborn fitteds and covers to a mom who only got five weeks out of them. My niece was over ten pounds when she was born several weeks early and she never would have fit newborn sizes (they used disposables, but she couldn't wear the newborn size in those either).

Does anybody have any opinion on Mommy's Touch one-size covers? I would still probably need to get some x-small thirsties covers, but for after that, these look great, if they work well.

Also, anybody have any opinions on kissaluv vs aristocrats vs imse vimse wool covers/soakers? All my wool soakers before (that I've since sold) were WAHM-made.

Also, where are good places to look for buying/selling gently used cloth diapers? I used another baby forum before, but they have since closed that portion of their site.

I used thirsties small covers with our nb (she was 7 lb) and they worked out fine size-wise for us. I think their xs would probably be sized to get a good use out of it (not just 1 month or so). Small fit up until around 5 mo for us.
