We spend a good chunk of time outside even in the Alaskan winter. It's THAT important.... and not just for vitamin D. Supplementing with vitamin D and absorbing the vitamin D are two different things. The way our bodies are meant to get vitamin D is through sunlight. The human race was never meant to spend as much time inside as we do. Depression is also a result of not getting outside. It's HARD to make the time... but you will FEEL the chemical difference in you body if you do it. I do not feel that way after I take a supplement....
