10 or 15 Minute Sessions of Cleaning--Please join in! - Page 54

I watched a Hoarders episode this morning. That show always  makes me twitchy to see those sad, ugly homes. I got out my flat mop and washed the walls this morning. I never think of walls as getting dusty but the white mop got gray. I got the whole downstairs walls mopped and it didn't take me but 45 minutes, even with washing the mop after every room was done.

Tomorrow I want to wipe down all the wood trim. Those little casings over every door get dusty, too.

Vacuumed everywhere, tidied up little things that were strewn about, purged some of Jude's old clothes & diaper stuff, put the couch blanket back on, put away the last few bits of a load of laundry from a couple days ago, washed 2 loads of laundry, washed dishes, put toys and random blankets away...what else? smile.gif I feel like I'm forgetting something.

Baby steps, I guess ;)

Graceie, hopefully you feel better soon!

It just hit me I'm almost 36 weeks, another week and a half and Ill technically be full term jaw.gifI keep hoping I get the nesting urge everyone talks about but it never hit with the other two so I doubt its going to hit with this one. This week I'm working on catching up on all the projects I meant to do last month but never got done with. Today and yesterdays list (yesterday was a bust, the girls were clingy and I fell and smacked my head against the side of the washer which resulted in a bad migraine but luckily no lasting damage.. darn if I'm not the most clumsy person I have ever met.. how I manage to walk across the floor and not fall over my own feet I don't know). I did manage to catch up on the last season of Army Wives though, DH ordered it for me for Christmas and the show is good.

Todays to dos:

Regular cleaning stuff:

Finish laundry- already did 3 loads, have 4-5 more to go.. every time I get some done more appears, does laundry reproduce itself??

clean kitchen- just need to clean the microwave, sweep/mop and put away dishes.

clean living room- haven't even started, need to: clean off couches, fix cushions, clean of dining room table, clean ceiling fan, clean sliding doors, sweep and mop.

Fix dinner- double batch of clam chowder, I'm freezing the leftovers. DH LOVES clam chowder.

Thinking about crafting reminds me I need to renew my subscription to Enchanted learning soon, so today I need to go on and see when the subscription is up and renew it if it is.

To dos I need to work on this week that should have been done earlier (haha, love this title eyesroll.gif, ok I'm kidding)

-preschool plans for DD1, print out everything and put in notebook

- put together a crafting notebook so I stop having to get on line (and waste time) every time DDs want to do some specific crafting project

- put together activity kits (doing 5-10 a week until I think we have enough to occupy them)

- put together file folder games (doing 5-10 a week until we get a good amount, DD1 LOVES these as quiet activities for church, appointments or other times she has to wait and can't run around)

-organize movies, type up master movie list, label movie containers

- scan old pictures (want to do this before the upcoming move just in case something gets ruined)

- upload Cd's and make song list

Sewing things to work on this week or so:

nursing cover, hospital gown, travel jewelry case, red dress, purple skirt, start baby hat/booties, flower skirt, red nursing top (have to figure out if I have the fabric for it first), E's birthday (or travel) skirt and top.

Luckily a lot of this can be accomplished sitting down so I really don't have to do to much physically. I'm still tired although I'm a lot better when I remember to take my vitamins and I added a Vitamin B tablet to my intake which seems to be helping a bit as well.

Did my first 15 minutes (ended up being more like 20ish).. Made the clam chowder, put it in the crockpot and cleaned up the mess from making it. Now Im going to go work on the craft notebook for 15, then go do laundry, sweep and mop the kitchen and start on the living room.

Ok, some my printer is acting up AGAIN. I swear this thing hates me. Im not going to stress myself about it so Im going to go work on the movies instead. They need to be reorganized and inventoried. But Ill do that AFTER I do laundry. Im out of clothes so I really think its about time I work on the laundry situation.

Ended up getting caught up helping DH with something he needed help with so all Ive gotten done is a little cleaning. Im going to finish up the cleaning at least then work on cutting out a few projects if I have time before dinner. If not I might (or might not) do it later tonight. DH is going to be late home so Im going solo putting the kids to bed, that usually is tiring enough where I don't get anything else done.

Got the kitchen, living room and dining room clean. Now Im going to help the kids do a quick pick up of their playroom and then its time to make biscuits for dinner.

You eat biscuits for dinner? Or do you mean for dessert?   Or maybe this is one of those instances where what you call biscuits is not what we call biscuits?  Biscuits here are sweet things kind of like cookies.

Today I didn't do much...got some decluttering done, changed towels, and did one load of laundry but didn't bother to hang it out....just felt like going on strike today!

hahaa No biscuits in America are like yeastless rolls.. So bread. My kids would love your type of biscuits for dinner but it would never happen. They rarely get sweets, only on rare special occasions.

I've done hardly any housecleaning the past couple of days. I'm going to go set my timer for 10 minutes then report back.

Hi! I'm new here wave.gif

I'm trying to make my inside and outside look great this year. smile.gif I'm working on de-cluttering and I'd also like to spend a little more time cleaning aside from the de-cluttering. So, 10-15 minutes at a time sounds great!
