Ive done absolutely not much in the last few days. Ive been taking it easy so I didn't overdo it and get sick. I don't need to get sick again. Luckily it seems like everyone is better now so hopefully it means Im not going to catch it..

This morning Ive:

made breakfest

cleaned up from breakfest

make split pea soup for lunch (my house is smelling YUMMY from it right now)

took the meat out for dinner

did laundry

Now Im going to:

finish up the felt kitchen Im making

rotate the laundry

cut out the skirt Ive been meaning to work on

clean the kitchen and living room

help the kids clean their playroom

Then Im going to take a nap.. I mean go to the prenatal appointment I have today.. Darn if the nap doesn't sound ALOT better!

Okimom I am glad you are all recovering and that you stayed well...not a good time of year to be sick. Also being pregnant lowers your immune system so it is harder to stay well.

Today I am feeling more inclined to start doing more, feel like the Christmas season is over and time to get back to normal now.

Done:

Emptied dishwasher

cleaned coffee machine

made beds

To do:

Plan meals

grocery shopping

clean shower and sink

clean bathroom mirrors

vacuuming

Hi there. We're back. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We had a really nice time with family.

And it is soooo nice to be back in our sweet, cozy, quiet home. Things are an absolute mess, and that's ok. I'll be checking in tomorrow.

So far Ive:

Rotated the laundry

played

made cookies to freeze

read to the girls

cleaned up the cookies mess

read to the girls

took the ham bone out of the split pea and then threw some cut up ham into it.. The girls are asking when they can eat it already, DD1 thinks its been cooking long enough and she wants some

Now Im really am going to go:

finish cleaning the living room

fold the laundry that just peeped if it is done

finish cleaning the kitchen

finish cleaning the playroom (just picking up, nothing else)

pick up the bedrooms

get ready to go to the appointment.

Try to figure out what I did with my ID last week.. Its around here somewhere (or DH has it.. He might, he keeps it in his wallet when we are out and about because Im bad at not taking my purse with me places)

While Im at the appointment Im going to ask DH to iron the fabric I need since it doesn't mind doing it and it drives me NUTS to iron.

Ive been useing all of DSs cat naps to work on my declutter got rid of a ton of stuff today whoo hoo I need to make dinner and a list for the week before bed

Anyone else really glad christmas is over? lol  It was all fun and wonderful.. but I'm ready to get back to normal now! 

My momma always insisted the hosue be clean & relatively decluttered for the start of the new year, so I'm going to spend the next few days doing that.  She always said that what you're doing on New Years day was representative of what you'd be doing all year, and I don't want to be cleaning like a maid that day (so I'll do it now lol)  Today I am focusing on general cleaning of the living areas and decluttering of the master bedroom.  Once I get that done we're going into the garage to load dh's van up with things to donate to charity (dining set, washing machine that has abroken hinge but still works well, GOOD stuff that someone will get plenty of use out of instead of it gathering dust in MY garage!)

Today so far I have:

Folded a load of towels & put away

put clothes on to wash

cycled them into the dryer (its rained almost the entire month of december SIGH, my clothesline feels neglected!)

had breakfast AND coffee

My goals for the day are big, so I'm going to jsut list them all and then I'll try to split them up into sessions after I get them all down!

Bedroom (mine) (this is probably 2x 15min)

       * get the mass of winter clothing OFF the floor in the closet and folded/put away (storing them in suitcases since we rarely use those ;)

       * organize what needs to be donated or just plain tossed out

       * dust all the dresser tops etc

       * vacuum

ensuite (1x15mins)

* swiffy floor

*clean sink, shower, toilet & mirror

Kitchen (1x15 with both dh & I working :)

* dishes (dh is doing, I sliced my finger up badly on christmas so he's doing wet jobs)

* wipe benches down

*clear out holiday leftovers that aren't consumed by the end of the day

* cook rice for dinner (fried rice night NOM)

Living/family room

* start putting away christmas for the year

* vacuum the carpet & swiffy the tiles

* clean rat cage (hubby & 6yo job)

* seam mop the kitchen/dining/family room floors

That'll do it for now :D  AND I"M OFF!!!

I'm in! The "work in 15 minute increments" was the only part of the Flylady program I could stick to. I love this idea, I even have a timer that I use for it. I'm using this method to figure out exactly where I put my bedroom floor. I'm sure it's here somewhere - something is holding up all of my clutter and junk LOL. Today I used 2 sessions to completely clean out the area closest to my door. Tomorrow I plan to use 1 or 2 sessions to get this huge jumble of books that I made a mess of looking for something onto the shelves again. I'll worry about organizing later, I just want them off of my floor, for now.

back from my prenatal appointment. DH cleaned up a bunch while I was gone.. Now I think Im going to sneak in a nap before starting on making dinner and sewing stuff (if I have the energy).

First (longer than 15mins lol) session done... all christmas, tree & other decor is gone to bed for the year :)  the living room looks lovely and clean thanks to dh!  Our bedroom is a wip,  bed is covered with a sheet & piled high with things I'm sorting through, but I have a big bag of clothes to donate, and a basket of things that are past their use by date iykwim!   I came out to put the rice on so it cools in time to make fried rice and got distracted helping dh put the tree & such away, so I'm having a glass of water and heading back in to finish the bedroom shortly.

OK post dinner i cleared the table, put three bottles of pasta sauce in the freezer and installed a new shower head now off to bed

Ive umm.. played cards with DH, had a piece of pecan pie, played cards some more and played with the girls. now I REALLY have to make dinner. I think its a spaghetti night

Well I got most of my chores done today, plus managed to go out to dinner with DH which was nice for a change. The girls have both gone to a party, and DS is at the inlaws house, so it is very quiet here, for a short while anyway.  Going to keep reading my decluttering book for a while, I find it very motivating!

I just went on a crazy cleaning spree. Yeah!

Today I:

*made breakfast
*cleared the kitchen (dishes rinsed, counters clean)
*cleaned out the fridge
*wiped down the bathrooms
*cleaned the living room & straightened out presents
*made the bed
*took out lots of trash
*took DD to Game Stop. She's on cloud nine.
*studied for 2 hours

I hope to:
*take it easy
*play Barbies with DD

Why does my house never seem clean enough? I only have one little one and he isn't even crawling and making any messes yet. The clutter just never seems to end even though I have gotten rid of tons of stuff!

I will go now and do 15 minutes of dishes and gathering the garbage!

mamatia its finaly starting to get better around hear after a mass declutter probley at least twenty loads in my hatchback . Im currently trying to organze and decluuetr a bit more I joined 150 before Xmas its been a great modavator and I bought a label maker thats been nice mostly I just keep makeing lists of stuff that needs to be cleaned out or organzed stuff that I seem to be picking it up all the time and ty to fix them

I'm going to get rid of my Christmas tree in a few days. It's a very small resusable tree, but it's seen enough and we'll get a nicer one for next year. One less thing for me to store here in our little apartment. I also have a [lay mat and a pack n play that I'm waiting for a woman to come pick up, but she hasn't yet. Hopefully this week it's gone. I may go through my clothing again and see what can be tossed. I just don't know what else to get rid of me for me to feel like it's all done.

mamita- My house never seems to get fully clean either, its like a never ending battle. Im almost (ALMOST) looking forward to living in a hotel for a little bit. Only so much room to mess up and someone else comes and vacuums once a week!

I really need to get some stuff done today. I need finalize my oldest daughter's birthday presents, Im hoping to order them tomorrow (as long as I remember too ) and picked out a carseat which I need to order tomorrow. Today I need to.. at least..

sweep/mop apartment (found out the kitchen/living room was never swept/mopped like I thought)

make taco soup to freeze/for dinner- in crockpot

I'm sure I'm forgetting something but its not even 6am so I'm not thinking straight. Maybe breakfast is in order first, it could wake me up some. Then Ill try to work on stuff. DH has duty tonight so we won't see him again until tomorrow afternoon, perfect time to do something.

during DSs nap I un/ loaded the dishwasher, made my list , paid filed bills other papers ,loaded the dishwasher and started washing the dishes before he woke up

Im going to call and set up my cristmas/moveing/meeting my decluttering goal gift to myself a cleaner to come in and do a one time deep clean

I'm back! I've been cleaning, but I haven't had lots of time to update on the thread lately. Things should slow down soon, though.

I need to transfer the cloth diapers to the dryer and wash the dishes. Then I need to start supper. tonight DSD is at a sleepover, so we're planning to have Indian food for dinner. I don't think it will be something she will like and I've missed eating Indian!

I'm hoping everyone is well and welcome all the new members to the thread. :-)
