What is reasonable to "give" to your daycare, on top of tuition? - Page 3

our preschool (full day from age 2) doesn't ask for supplies or nickle-and-dime us with charges, but I think that's because the huge tuition and "supply fees" cover it!

Are the disposable cameras for the children to take photos with? Otherwise, get a digital camera!

At the daycare I worked at we asked all parents to send in one box of tissues (all ages) and one pack of wipes (infant room, 1 year old room and 2 year old rooms) each month. We are up front with all potential parents when they come to visit the daycare that we do ask for those items. Some parents bring them, others don't. We had a sign on each class door reminding parents but other than that, no biggie. We figure if a parent isn't bringing it then we aren't going to push it because who are we to say they can even afford that extra $3/month, ya know? The director bought tissues and wipes from Sam's Club to round out what the parents brought.
