So today I interviewed another OB. I really liked the last one I interviewed, but I just wanted to try one more. He was not, uh, very comfortable with natural birth or VBAC, to say the least. FIrst he told me this horrible story about a VBAC he attended that resulted in uterine rupture and the baby "getting lost" inside the mother and they had to do an emergency surgery and her bladder was ripped and blah blah blah.
And then he says, "And sometimes you get these women who come in here with these birth plans. They don't want to be on the monitor and they squat all over the room, pooping in the corners."
I think I might I have said, "Wow," or something to that effect. I was speechless.
Needless to say, he will not be attending my VBAC. I am feeling really good about the previous doctor and I think I will go with her
