IXL - difference between paid and unpaid?

Well, the title of my post basically says it all. I noticed it on sale at Homeschool Buyer's Coop and it looked like fun. DD loves games like that, and they help keep her busy when I need to get something done. She spent ages playing the shape game while DS's speech therapist was here.

I did a search here and people seem largely happy with it. So, what's the difference. Just the reporting capabilities? Because I don't really care about that. But if there are more activities (and maybe a more user friendly layout... the button to listen to the audio is really small and she had problems getting to it), then I'm all for it.

Sorry, I realize my OP might have been Greek if you didn't know what IXL was (which I didn't, until yesterday).

IXL Math: http://www.ixl.com/ Never heard of it until yesterday. Seems a little rough around the edges, but solid. They go from preschool to 8th grade.
