Traveling solo with a 1 yr old..

Anyone done it?

I am considering going on a trip in November to SE Asia with friends. DS will be almost 1 yr old. .. So far he's been to 8-9 countries without any problems, he travels well, but always he's traveld with my DH AND I. This trip it would be just me (but we would be meeting my 'couple' friends on the trip- but staying in separate rooms).

The trip is 10 days. The flight is direct there and back.. Anyone done a solo trip with a baby in tow?

When I was a nanny, I flew with the 15 month old I took care of solo from the US to New Zealand to visit her grandmother. (Don't even bother mentioning how crazy it is to send your baby across the world with your nanny, lol.) Anyway, the trip went just fine. We had the baby's mom help us check in so baggage was not a problem. The flight attendants were very helpful to the girl traveling alone with a baby. They'd offer to warm a bottle or hold her while I went to the bathroom, anything to make it easier for us. The trip was much easier than I would have anticipated.
