Oh Kitty! I almost forgot. If it takes a few months for them to get your little guy in to see the specialist then you may be able to swing it as a semi enjoyable trip for him. My brother and his family use to live there and if I remember correctly the zoo plus a lot of other fun things like that are free!

Sasha-I'm in Southern IL by Indiana. And we usually go to the St.Louis zoo every year or the City Museum. At least their zoo is free! But, oh, the drive! Especially big and pregnant!

Oliver'smommy- I'm glad your little guy is okay. DD fell down our garage stairs a few weeks ago and it's the most awful slow motion feeling when you can't reach out to stop them. Thankfully the pile of old paint cans at the bottom of the stairs (which ironically are a terrible tripping hazard) broke her fall and kept her from landing right on the concrete.

Misagoat- I forgot how little newborns were too! A friend just had a baby in July and I couldn't get over her size (and she was 8 lbs!). I got out the newborn size clothes to wash and I just can't fathom how DD ever fit in them.

Luch&Jude's mama- for potty training! So nice to have only one in diapers at a time.

and to all the mama's in the hospital and about to have babies already.

AFM-with the weeks slipping away (only 4.5 to 9.5 weeks 'till my due date window, yikes that's all single digits!) I went on a crazy nesting woman cleaning jag yesterday and cleaned my whole bedroom, including washing curtains and all the bedding and getting on my hands and knees with a toothbrush and q-tips to clean the jets on my bathtub and the truly gnarly gross shower stall. I don't keep a particularly clean house so I was joking with DH that our bedroom hasn't been this clean since about 1 month or 2 before DD was born.

In TMI news, I think my yeast infection is back. I'm so bummed, I really don't want to be dealing with this until the end. I'm all sore and red and swollen down there, it's awful. Seeing the MW tonight so hopefully she can give me some ideas.

I am not a terribly great housekeeper myself, but it's been spotless lately. This is the one symptom of pregnancy I would like to keep.

Have you tried a clove of garlic for the YI? Hope you get some relief for that - sounds miserable!

I'm glad Oliver is OK! You were describing one of my worst nightmares...

I am exhausted. Dh, dd1 and ds are in Michigan - I was up with them at 5:30 to drive to the airport (Dh's sister is getting married on Saturday). In a way, it is a real treat to only have one kid - I almost don't know what to do with myself! - but I miss them so much already. Dd2 is certainly enjoying the one on one mama time, I just wish I had more energy to enjoy her more. We're off to my parents' house tomorrow, so that will be a treat for her. Off to have a cup of tea so I can make it through today (I have a preschool meeting tonight, otherwise dd and I would be going to be really EARLY)...

My house has been messier than I usually like it... I'm so tired and unmotivated.

I got my free sample of floradix, that's a BIG bottle... bigger than I was expecting, lol. I was wondering if I could take it only once a day or if I really need to take it twice for it to be fully beneficial?? I am a little worried that I'm really going to like it (never tried it before) and won't be able to afford it.

ugggg.. i came here to write the same thing.. im just so unmotivated. granted i am sick and coughing every time i do anything but i feel like a lazy bum. there is so much to get done and none of it is stuff that i can do but dp is working and not getting to it either im worried some moments how we are going to be ready for this baby.. i dont feel like doing anything. i dont even feel like sleeping.

thankfully im finding things to keep my girls happy.. my son is gone now for 2 weeks and they were sad to see him go. he plays with them a LOT.

somehow im going to have to find energy to make supper, wash up ( i made cupcakes with them earlier for something exciting to do) and try to get more laundry done.. i would really love to go for a walk but i cant stand the coughing..

guess i need to get to town to get more herbs/vitamins. thanks for the suggestions BTW.

ah sh!t. I meant to take some of it before dinner... it says to take it before a meal. ugh. I was just uber excited about fajitas... I mean, yum sour cream and lots of yummy goodness.

i've wanted to post but have been a bit preoccupied with myself...
i couldnt get my fasting numbers under control so i've had to go on insulin before bed.
i hate needles - so this is really hard for me.
i feel like i've failed...
last time i was able to control it with diet and exercise. ugh.

stepping outside of my little box of "poor me" my thoughts are definitely with the mamas who are in the hospital right now. that really helps me put things in perspective - something i havent been so good at lately.

Floradix isn't that bad, not the tastiest stuff around, but not terrible. There are waay worse tasting iron supplements out there, that's for sure. If your iron has been low you can take 4x what the dose is on the bottle, around 40mg. I usually take 20 in the am with my OJ and 20 around dinner.

Had a better day today. I got a lot of sewing in while dh took the littles on a walk to the park. I really needed the quiet time. I'm really feeling the introversion part of the 3rd trimester now...I just want to be a homebody.

I took a chance on going to a new thrift store I've never been to and totally scored this afternoon. I got several cute gauze maternity tanks and a knit skirt that looked super comfy!

Well I am off for my ultrasound appointment with the specialist. Dh talked to MIL on the phone last night and apparently they patched some issues or something? So anyway dh is going to go pick her up to watch the kids for us. I wanted him to call and cancel but then he pointed out that he still hasn't really seen an ultrasound of the boys or been able to really ask questions of the specialist team because he is always running after the littles at our appointments. So of course I had to back down and swallow my complaints. Sigh, I'm just nervous about leaving the kids, at the LEAST we will be gone for 6 hours.
Wish me luck and hopefully/prayerfully we will have good news from the doctors today.

I'm SO glad to hear that baby Willow seems to be doing exceptionally well - what a blessing! I have to admit that I'm so overwhelmed with emotion (which TOTALLY surprised me!) - I didn't expect to actually *cry* when our first baby came.

Taking insulin doesn't mean you've failed!! It means you're doing the best thing you can for your little one, even before birth! It will be okay. I hate needles too, so I find you so BRAVE for doing that. Hang in there. You can do this.

Sasha-Good luck at your appointment I am glad your husband is able to come with you and see his boys and ask questions. How far do you have to go that it will take 6 hours?

Stitches-I feel your pain about the yeast infection! I went to my midwife appointment last week and she wrote me a prescription for terazol for 3 nights and a refill. I am on the refill this week. Hopefully when I go back next week it will be all gone. She said I probably never completely got rid of the yeast infection in the first place.

I can't believe we have a baby already. I am so not ready to have this baby yet. I just started the semester. Can I bet on having the last baby of our DDC? I am think I have the latest due date so it wouldn't be too much of a gamble.

My husband ruined his phone yesterday during the thunderstorm. I asked him why he was outside during it. So he took my phone today and hopefully his warranty will cover it. Then last night I was vacuuming and accidentally vacuumed up the sleeve of his sweatshirt which was on the back of a dining room chair. I turned off the vacuum and pulled the sleeve out but now the vacuum isn't working. I think Wednesday night or even earlier last night I said we weren't buying anything even if something broke and of course two broken items in one night. ARG.
