I'm so happy to be able to post that I have BF my DD almost two years. Her older brother, I barely made it 5 weeks. I even had to return to work at 6 weeks PP with DD--but still made it to almost 6 months before having to give her a single drop of formula. In short, I am very, very happy with how it's gone.

But now, we are done. We've been talking for a couple weeks about how the day was coming that we would end it, and she seemed okay with the idea. Monday was our last free for all nursing day, yesterday I said we were done--and she was great about it! A little sad, but with cuddles and songs, really not too sad. Even at night she woke up a few times to nurse but took it okay when I reminded her.

Of course on a personal level I don't know if the cold turkey way was that great as I'm a wee bit uncomfortable today...

But anyway, the whole experience has been wonderful, from start to finish, and I'm so glad I got to nurse her, and for so long, especially after my failure with DS.
