What's best to use to clean white wood blinds

We have them in every room of our home except for 2. And they are white. I love them, but they need a really good cleaning. What do you find easy to use to get them good and clean?

For the entire house of plantation shutters in Coronado with all the fires and jet fuel, I used mild dishwashing detergent and water in a bucket and a washcloth and a dry towel - so as not to leave them overly wet and have them warp (plantation shutters floor to ceiling are $$$$). Craptastic job. Only managed the downstairs took all day.
