Having an autoimmune disease put you at higher risk for having lupus anticoagulant antibodies. I have crohns, and I have had 3 early losses since I started trying a year ago. I thought I would post this for anyone like me that is autoimmune and just cant seem to get a pregnancy to stick.

I made an appontment for next week and I am going to ask to get tested for these antibodies.

It may have been chance that I had early losses, but I want to rule out the antibody thing.

I have rheumatoid arthritis, its an autoimmune disease, very much like Lupus (I was actually originally diagnosed with Lupus before the RA diagnosis) and from what my high risk obgyn has told me and my research, its true.

When I was pregnant with my son, I had weekly doctors appointments for the first 4.5 months. Once we made it to the 4 month mark, my doctor was no longer worried that I would MC.

Good luck!
