Please recommend a doll for my 22-month-old son

As the title suggests, DS is 22 months old. He has a baby sister on the way (due in about five weeks) and I'd like to get him a doll before she arrives. I was kind of liking this but would love more suggestions: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G334Z4/

Does it matter if the doll is a boy or girl? I don't care either way but I'd hate for him to think the new baby is also a doll!

Very sweet doll.

I've been thinking of getting ds a doll recently - they have anatomically correct dolls at the drop-in play centre we go to. He was very unsure of the girl doll but felt better about the boy doll - hahaha.

I bought my older DS a doll for the same reason. It is a Little Mommy doll. We got it at Target or Toys r Us, can't remember. Both of my guys like it. I wasn't all that concerned with boy/girl parts or anything, just wanted something affordable that could be played with. I think it was around $15, and it gets played with often.

Here is my toddler nursing the baby.

I've also heard great things about Corelle dolls, but didn't find out about them until after we already bought our doll. I think the one you posted is absolutely adorable!

DD received a very similar doll for her 2nd birthday and LOOOVED it. I really loved that it was soft and plastic-free. I say, go for it!

Thanks for your input, mamas! I think it's super cute too and I love that it's non-plastic (and washable).

We had that exact same doll for my dd (but in pink), and she loved it. It's great for a first doll. She loved that it has a removable diaper she could change. Now she has a Corolle Mon Premier doll (which is made of plastic, but is pthalate free) and she likes that as well.
