Hi everyone,
I am a new first-time mom of a 3 week old little boy, and I've been enjoying reading the MDC forums for the past few weeks as I have a million questions and things to learn. I had a pretty great natural childbirth experience with a great group of midwives in the town where I live (Alexandria VA). My Bradley instructor (who also was also present at my son's birth) recommended Mothering as a good resource and it has been very comforting to read the boards here to help me realize that I am not alone in dealing with various newborn issues.
My biggest preoccupation over the past few weeks has been dealing with my own healing from a 4th degree tear that occurred during the birth. It's been hard to deal with a newborn and my own healing as well! I'm trying to keep my spirits up but it is hard. I think one of the things I am also looking for as I read this forum is some reassurance that I will feel normal again someday!
Anyway, I am really looking forward to participating in the forums here!
