Where to get foam for sidecar

Okay, so our crib is side carred. I love it. But DD is getting more rolypoly, and I need to make it safer.

Does anyone know if Michael's sells the high density foam that people have discussed using?

Also, when I stuff pool noodles in the gap they end up sinking down- they can fall all the way to the floor. Did anyone else have that problem and fix it? I suppose I could do a piece of plywood or something- it's just hard to fit that sort of thing in my car.

One more question- where can I get zip ties? Lowes/Home Depot?

Could you use foam from an old piece of furniture? And yes, zip ties at the hardware store.

Another idea, what if you duct taped a wad of pool noodles together?

Duct tape! Duct tape would be enough to hold the pool noodles up. I can just run some duct tape from the springs under the mattress to the edge of the crib.

Then I could also duct tape the noodles together in whatever config works and then wrap them in a crib sheet.

Thanks!

Now I have to think of something cheap to raise the crib a tiny bit. Maybe some of the many many quilts we received.

I used cheapo clay flowerpots to raise our arms reach (old model before add-on legs) just stack as many as you need and put the crib legs inside them.

Duct tape is awesome! Now you can go all McGyver on it!

If you decide to get the foam, Jo-anns sells it.
