Crab Stock

Hi wise Mama's
Went crabbing yesterday. Ate the yummy crabs last night but I want to make stock with the shells. Question: how long should I boil the shells? Like bones? or less?
Thanks

Less. They dont require nearly as long because theyre not as thick.

A lot less. You're only extracting whatever flavor is left from the original cooking process (assuming you cooked them whole). Perhaps 45 minutes simmering total. Depending on what you have, a crabshell butter might be a more flavorful option.
