Ergo- nursing?

I am thinking about swapping my Beco Butterfly II for an Ergo if possible. I have an absolutely difficult time nursing my son in the Beco. I have other carriers and slings but wanted something similar to the Beco. I think that would be an Ergo (?)

How easy is the Ergo to nurse in?

Thanks!

I don't have an ergo, but I do have another SSC that I nursed in a lot. maybe try watching some videos on youtube on how to? or googling how to and seeing if you can find any pointers? also check out www.thebabywearer.com and ask your question, I'm sure someone there could help you out!

It is soooo simple to nurse in the Ergo. I have heard many complaints about how it is next to impossible to nurse in the Beco Butterfly due to the inner lining..that is what made me choose the Ergo, and I can't live without it!

I also had an easy time nursing in the Ergo - I would just wiggle the waist support down a little until LO was at the right height. I love the Ergo!

Do you loosen the waist strap or the shoulder straps to get your LO at the right height to nurse? DS is 6 mo old and we use the Ergo all the time...but I've never been able to figure out nursing in it.

Thanks for the tips!

I loosen the shoulder straps only (keep waist strap snug).

I was at a bubble blowing event with my son blowing bubbles (took two hands) and we were filmed on TV and he was nursing in the Ergo - that's how easy it was, and no one seemed to notice (nothing on the shot was visible).

So for us it was pretty easy. I would loosen the top straps and wriggle the waist strap down a bit. It did take a few times to get our groove. He was about 9 months at the time.
