My DD has suddenly stopped napping. This began just after we returned from a 2 week vacation. She napped every day during the vacation and still will nap when she is over at her grandmothers.
She is SO tired and rubbing her eyes in the afternoon, but just won't sleep. Right now she is quietly playing in her room (taking everything out of her closet!).
And, she is not making up for the time at night. She only sleeps 9-10 hours a night. (that is how much I need, so I'm not getting much of my own time in the evenings).
I am keeping our routines the same as always, so nothing outwardly has changed really.
I really don't think that she is giving up her naptime for good. I suspect it is developmental. She has had some huge leaps in the past few weeks.
Is there anything that I can do to help support her sleep? Either getting more night time sleep or getting her back on track for day time napping?
Has anyone else found their toddler stopped napping for a while and then picked it back up again? She is really a mess in the afternoon with the lack of sleep and often exhausted in the mornings too.
