tongue ?

I know I read somewhere that you can tell about the state of you health by "reading" your tongue.

I was doing some speech exercises with my son and looked at my tongue in the mirror and was surprised by what I saw, it didn't look this way last night.

It has a white coating over most of it (Which I am pretty sure is a sign of yeast overgrowth)but an oval shaped portion about the size of a quarter form the right edge to the center is bright red like someone burned it. (It hasn't been burned, I ate all cold foods today) There is a dimple like spot in the front right in the middle.

Just curious if anyone knows about what the tongue says about the body.

I've noticed that both kids' tongues often get a thicker white coat when they're sick or if they're fighting something off.

I was taught to look at tongues as a diagnostic tool. I think it's actually quite helpful as the tongue does change, but you can see all kinds of things in/on it. I've seen some really interesting tongues in my day.

I wish I lived closer to you, I would love to know what this is all about.

A friend of mine is working towards becoming a certified reflexologist and needs clinical hours and she worked on my feet today and my tongue changed after the session, so I guess it is doing something.

ah yes. I can tell if dh has gotten "glutened" by checking out his tongue. It does change fast. I use the tongue a lot for cell salts. If I'm stuck between a few things the tongue can lead the way.
