Another "hair down there" question

I just started shaving during this pregnancy some weeks ago, for dh but also b/c I just couldn't stand all the hair anymore and how "unclean" I felt down there. I guess I have shaved just a few times in the last few weeks.

I guess my question is, is it safe to have sex right after you shave down there? Do you do it? I didn't get any nicks or anything. I'm 22 weeks.

Thanks!

If I'm doing it special for DH I have to have sex within 24 hours...because I get HORRIBLE razor burn and refuse to be touched while it's flaired up (like, for 3 days)

Why wouldn't it be safe? I don't think I understand the question.

I think she's worried about infection because of open follicles (like, they tell you not to get a pedicure right after shaving your legs) or nicks and cuts.

Yeah, this is it! Lol

So do you think its okay? Before I had kids I shaved down there all the time and always had sex that same day or sooon after... all throughout my single years I did this and not once did I have a problem. I'm just worrying now b/c I'm preggers!

If you wouldn't do it while not pregnant don't start when you're pregnant...

If you've never had any problems and done it enough times to have a good "test group" I wouldn't worry.

Goodness, I've never even considered that it might be in any way unsafe
It is a fact that shaving increases the incidence of folliculitis, but I've never seen the timing of sex to be implicated.
I agree that if it's something you used to do regularly without issue, it shouldn't be an issue now.

Yeah. It's fine.

It's safe. If I get a nick, I will wait until the next day to DTD (or try to, anyway :P) because I don't like the irritation and soreness that can lead to. If not, it's on!

I would think that anything that you could get from your partner you already have been exposed to. I would not worry at all exept for any discomfort.

Thanks so much, guys!

What would the point be of shaving smooth if you couldn't share it with your partner until you had stubble again! No way! I want to make sure he discovers that I shaved as soon as possible after I did it.
