Sorry if this is TMI - lubrication issues

Well, I guess this is really, REALLY "beyond" birth - almost 3 years beyond, actually.

My youngest is now closer to 3 than to 2. And I'm still completely "dry" down there. My milk dried up almost exactly a year ago. I got my periods back about 10 months pp and they're very regular - not 28 days on clockwork like before kids, but I get one every month and it's not unusually long or short. Normal.

But I can't umm. Get lubricated.

Did I break for good? I know there's lots of artificial lubricants and stuff but I'd rather have my own, you know? I'm 27 right now, if that matters. I know older women have trouble with this issue but surely under-30 is not "older"? Or is it??

This is not an immediate issue for me as I'm now single with no intention of getting in any relationship in the near future, but I just wanted to know, for information's sake etc.

I am 26, and noticed a significant drop in fluid production about two years ago, after my third birth. I absolutely would not characterize it as being completely dry, though...there's just less fluid. I think I would talk to my midwife if that were the case.

Are you on birth control? With me, I never had issues until after I had my first child. Then I was quite dry all the time. I figured out my birth contol was not helping when I went off it to TTC DD2. Unfortunatly, I caught quick so I didn't have long to enjoy aid free DTD. If you are not on birth control, you should mention it to your doc. They might be able to recommend something to get things working again. (maybe estrogen cream?)

It could be some hormones still out of whack, or a newer normal..

Have you tried taking 500-1300mg EPO daily?

It sounds hormonally related to me. In my twenties, I was taking bc pills and the estrogen in my body got completely out of whack and I was very dry. Also discovered that the lubricants I was using contained stuff that made it worse, I was sensitive to propylene glycol among other things. There are some lubricants that don't have anything irritating in them, such as "YES" and I think there is one called Carageenan. Good luck!
