Background, 3 year old DS has been using potty fulltime since 23months.
He just decided he was done with diapers and that was that. No pushing from us and no real fuss either way.
And we've had no issues at all until the last couple months. He is so busy trying so hard NOT to go that he waits too long and has a miss.
I figured it was a stage and a few dirty pants and the pain of getting cleaned up would be enough to remind him it really wasnt that bad to take a break from activity, go potty and come back.
well months in and he seems to be getting MORE resistant. i can see him shifting, grabbing, running in circles and when I say
"lets run and go potty so we can ....."
he says "i no need to"
and not a minute later "mom, i had accident"
really trying not to be frustrated with him about it, but its so easy for me to see. Just go!
how do I help him figure it out and help myself from being annoyed about the 3rd pair of dirty undies everyday?
thanks for any advice
