need to decide tonight - did your feet stay bigger?

In the last month or 2 of my pregnancy my feet swelled. Enough so that in the last few weeks I went to walmart and bought a larger pair of cheap men's sneakers. Now I'm 6 weeks postpartum and my running shoes still don't fit well. Most of my swelling went down the first week. I bought a new pair of the old size and a pair a half size up (love Zappos), and the larger ones do fit better.

DSD is in cross country and I'll be running all over the course tomorrow am cheering her on. If it's normal for feet to go back to original size, I'll keep my regular size, but if they're going to stay this size I need the new ones. They are $90 shoes, so I can't really keep both. I actually had the larger size a couple years ago (store clerk suggestion) and had to return them because even at a half size too big they made my feet ache. What's your experience been? I'll be getting rid of a bunch of shoes if they are gonna stay this size

Yes, my feet stayed about a half size bigger. (It's been 7 1/2 years, so I think it's safe to say they're going to stay this way.)

My feet stayed one full size bigger after my first pregnancy.

Yes they stayed bigger, like my hips.

My sister-in-laws are still bigger and her daughter is now 4.

mine sure did!

from a 7.5 to an 8 with first pregnancy, from an 8 to an 8.5 second and
looks like this one could take me "almost" to a 9!!! I could be in trouble if
I keep having babies!

they are a half size bigger i think but not that they're longer....they're like...flatter and wider.

1/2 size bigger here. I didn't get bigger with the second kid.

Yep, got bigger after #2 and 3. The 2 pairs that I would still squeeze until after #2 (all the rest I had to buy bigger), did not make it though #3's pg still fitting.

Yep, stayed a half-size bigger. Mine aren't longer either, but definitely wider.

Mine grew a full size with #1 (from a 9.5 to a 10.5) and none with babies #2 and 3.

Mine went back to normal, which as it seems isn't 'normal'.

Mine went back to their normal size (after being a size bigger during pregnancy for a LONG time, and swollen beyond belief), BUT they hurt badly for months after my birth. Now they're fine, and back in my normal size, except for one expensive (prepreg) pair of Clark's that I wore for an all day work this, and which ended up bruising one of my toenails really badly. I thought it was going to fall off!
Is there anyway you can postpone the new shoes? Seems like there's no way of predicting, unfortunately...

Got bigger with each pregnancy! I'm afraid to have more, I'll have clodhoppers by the time I am done...

I've bought all of my running shoes half a size bigger since DD's birth. Strangely, my other regular shoes still fit, but my running shoes needed to size a little larger. I think my feet went down in swelling a little after birth, but never back to their original size. I used to be between an 8-8.5, but now I am firmly in an 8.5 in athletic shoes. It's like my feet spread a little around the toes.

Bigger here for sure! so funny, that

I am not sure if my feet are slightly bigger or if just decided I can't be bothered with uncomfortable shoes. Either way, I am buying bigger now

Wow, this is really interesting! I'm only 3 months PP but mine have not gone back (1 size bigger still). I am dismayed because I only have one pair of shoes that fit and it's looking like I have to get all new shoes and get rid of my old ones. Oof!

Oh boy! Judging by this sample looks like they usually stay bigger! I should check my non-athletic shoes. Can't really postpone, so I'll go with the sad majority. Thanks!
