VBAC friendly doctor/midwife in Fort Collins, CO?

Can anyone recommend a VBAC friendly doctor (or midwife) in Fort Collins, CO? I'm not pregnant yet, but want to have someone in mind. And due to some issues I had with my first pregnancy, I'm not willing to consider a homebirth, so it will be a hospital VBAC.

Thanks!

My neighbor had her VBAC with the all CNM practice in Fort Collins. I'm sorry I can't remember the name. It is the CNM practice that does not have an OB at the office. She felt very supported and had a great experience with them.

I also know someone who is seeing Dr Mark Rotman, with Associates in Family Medicine at the Shields office, he is a family doctor. Unfortunately for her, she has some other complications that won't allow for a VBAC. But until they were sure of it, he was really pushing and supportive of her desire to have a VBAC.

My boys see him for pediatric care and so far I am really happy with him. Doesn't push vax, abx, etc and is very respectful of our choices.

Ok I don't know about VBAC, but stay far away from the practice that is a obgyn DO/CNM. The CNM is very nice, but the obgyn kicked me out for not using the doppler... She also wanted me on some medication trial... Crazy place (Eliizabeth Street, right next to the hospital, the office has a Spa also, so don't go there!!!)...

The CNM clinic is called Womancare, they are wonderful, but didn't need to learn of their stance on VBAC. Give them a call 970/493-1865. Good Luck!

Hi Mamas,

My husband and I are considering moving to Fort Collins, and I would love to get an insider's view of the city. I posted in the main Colorado tribal area but haven't gotten any replies, so I thought I would try here. Any feedback is appreciated!

TIA,

Amy

Hi, I am midwife practicing home birth in Colorado. I am located in Loveland and serve a community that is within 1-hour drive (about 50-mile radius) which would include Fort Collins. I have done VBAC births, water births, etc. Check out my listing @ BirthPartners.com or my website @ DancingTreeMidwifery.com

Happy Birthings!

Kris

That would likely be the Women's Clinic.  My first birth which was with CNM's there years ago (probably not even the same CNMs!) was much too interventionist for my hopes as well.  I switched to Woman Care for my second and had a birthing experience that was much more in lines with what I had hoped.  I'd second trying Woman Care if you need/want a hospital birth with a CNM.
