Sore throat!

Thread Starter
Just started this morning. Is there anything I can do to make it go away faster? I'm rarely ever sick...

I hate, hate, hate getting sick during pregnancy. I feel like there's nothing I can do.

Try all the usual suspects: hot tea with honey and lemon, plenty of water, chicken soup or broth, etc. It sounds a little counteractive but I like to suck on lemon drops when my throat hurts.

Make yourself some comfort food for dinner, it might not help your throat but it might lift your spirits!

I am almost 40 weeks and woke up with a sore throat this morning too!
Warm tea with honey and lemon has helped. Also I have been gargling with a raw apple cider vinegar and water mixture.

Whenever I get feel something coming on, I always bump up my vitamin C and take raw garlic. Seems to help keep the germs at bay!

Sore throat here too. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I also hate getting sick while pregnant but since I work with 2 to 6 year olds, it's almost constant during "cold and flu season"

I like to take Elderberry syrup when I'm sick, or as a preventative if I'm exposed by someone else in my house. I think it helps, and it tastes nice!

A good old salt water gargle will help kill the nasty bacteria in your throat and help loosen up that crud so you can (gross!) spit it out.

Honey also, with its antibacterial properties, is supposed to help in whatever form you like it - tea, etc.

If it's from nasal drip, peppermint tea will help cut the mucous. I always take echinacea (NOT with goldenseal) and a little xtra C when I'm sick too.
