WHY is it so hard to find plain, solid color, long sleeved shirts for babies? Not onesies, shirts. Seriously... I want shirts to go with all our longies...

Have you tried Tea Collection? I think they have lots of tees that aren't onesies.

What is Tea Collection? Do they have an online store?

american apparel

These are still a staple in our house and DD is 2. $11

ETA: These from Under the nile are fantastic. I give their clothes to new babies all the time and have gotten over the top feedback. $12

I was going to recommend Carter's or AA too. Sometimes I can find some cute solid shirts at Target or Walmart.

H&M are often good for this sort of thing. And reasonably priced too.

I have heard that about H&M a couple times... I think they just opened one in the mall half an hour from me so maybe I will venture up there and see!!

Not all H&M stores sell their youth and baby clothing lines. And, they don't sell online, either. They should, because they have some unique styles you won't find anywhere else, and they are cheap, but so is the feel of the clothes. I find them along the lines of old navy as far as quality.

I don't mind that for the little stage... my babies tend to grow fast (18mos/2T sizes by 12 mos) so I don't really want to spend a ton on clothes they will outgrow quickly, if that makes sense. Plus, this is 99% sure our last baby so no more to hand stuff down to...

Old Navy has a lot of shirts, but yes, there are things on them... no solid colors. Still, they are good prices when on sale and I think a bunch are on sale on the website right now. They start at 6m size.

I feel your pain though. My newbie will probably wear a lot of cut off onesies until she starts to fit into the 6m shirts I've been getting for her.

Another thought would be turning onesies into t-shirts. It's really easy to do with just basic sewing knowledge and a machine. You just cut it off just above the leg holes and hem the bottom.

I wish I could sew... I might be able to get my mom to help me convert a few onesies though!

I've never understood it, either. I get the *purpose* of onesies, but I personally hate them, especially for around the house - even from before I started cd'ing!

We have always CD-ed.. and I love onesies for out of the house, especially with my last 2 since they were summer babies and that was pretty much all they wore out of the house! But around the house they are a pain in the butt...

Quality of the babywear is fine here, but it's very likely that different suppliers are used seeing as we're in different countries. Really not keen on the girlswear, some of it seems slightly inappropriate for toddlers.
