frozen sperm #s and motility

hello

my partner and i are deciding to switch donors after 5 unsuccessful cycles and i'm looking into sperm count and motility for our favorite 'uncle sperm.' i know good numbers are often talked about on these boards, but i'm having a hard time finding exact #s to look for, and i am especially uncertain about what constitutes good motility. the numbers for our original donor fluctuated--sometimes 9million, other times 30+mill. this new donor has an amazing sperm count (80-90mill) but motility is maybe 54%. is that good motility? what are your personal experiences with numbers?

Sorry if this is a late answer but any count over 20mil motile sperm is a good count.  So your donor would have a count around 40mil which is absoutely wonderful.  Go for it. (you probably already did).

I agree with 2mamas. Ideally, you'll want anything close to 20 mill. This month, our donor had 47.5 million at IUI. The doc was beyond thrilled!
